Associated Hebrew Schools is located in the largest Jewish community in Canada. The Greater Toronto Area (GTA), which includes Toronto, Vaughan, Richmond Hill and Markam, is home to over 3 million people. There are over 200,000 Jews living in the GTA.

Toronto has 20 Jewish elementary day schools (grades 1-8), 16 Jewish high school/yeshiva programs, and 43 after-school Jewish schools. There are 118 synagogues and congregations throughout the GTA, including Orthodox, Conservative, Reconstuctionist, Reform and Humanist.
